A graduate of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, he completed an internship at Thomas Jefferson Health System in Philadelphia and a general surgery residency at Henry Ford Health System.
His dedication to excellence in reconstructive, plastic and cosmetic surgery drew him to complete not one but two fellowship training programs - one at the prestigious University of Chicago in facial plastic and body cosmetic surgery, and another in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Henry Ford Health System.  

He is a clinical assistant professor in the department of surgical specialties at Michigan State University and Central Michigan University.  He belongs to a number of professional organizations including the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, American Osteopathic Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

A native of Philadelphia, he speaks three languages (English, Spanish and Greek) and enjoys classic cars.

Santana Hutchinson brings over seven years of experience to her role as Office Manager at Soma Face and Body, where she collaborates closely with Dr. Pittas. Her passion for learning and growth shines through in her daily interactions, as she embraces new challenges and opportunities within the practice.

Beyond her professional expertise, Santana enjoys gardening and homesteading with her husband and son, fostering a love for nature and family togetherness. She is also an enthusiastic supporter of her son's various sports activities, cheering him on with pride.

Her cheerful demeanor, professionalism, and genuine care for our patients make her an invaluable member of the Soma Face and Body team.

Emma Periard is a skilled Medical Assistant at Soma Face and Body, where she supports Dr. Pittas both in the office and the operating room. With a decade of experience in the medical field, Emma brings a wealth of knowledge and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Outside of her professional life, Emma cherishes time with her three-year-old daughter, who is the light of her life. She loves to travel, go camping, and spend quality time with family. Having grown up in Harbor Beach, MI, Emma values the beauty of nature and the joy of creating lasting memories with her loved ones. Her dedication and warm personality make her a wonderful part of our team!

Jessica Rhoads is our dedicated Surgical Scheduler at Soma Face and Body, bringing a wealth of experience to her role. After graduating from Ross Medical Education Center in 2011, she began her career as a medical assistant, quickly finding her passion in the clerical side of the profession. Since specializing in surgery scheduling in 2016, Jessica has been an integral part of our team, ensuring a smooth experience for our patients.

Outside of work, Jessica enjoys baking delicious treats, diving into a good book, and keeping up with her three energetic boys. Her cheerful demeanor and organizational skills make her a valuable asset to our practice, as she works diligently to coordinate care for our patients.

Meet Elizabeth Marquez, our welcoming Front Desk Receptionist at Soma Face and Body. Originally from Saginaw, Elizabeth is dedicated to creating a warm and friendly atmosphere for our patients as they arrive for their appointments.
In her personal life, Elizabeth enjoys spending quality time with her fiancé, friends, and her three beloved fur children—two dogs and a cat. When she’s not at the front desk, you can find her binge-watching her favorite TV shows, exploring local trails, playing video games, or honing her cooking skills.

Her cheerful personality and commitment to exceptional service make Elizabeth an invaluable part of our team, ensuring every patient feels at home when they visit Soma Face and Body.

Shannon Williams is our experienced Surgical First Assistant at Soma Face and Body, having dedicated her career to the medical field since the age of 18. With over 20 years of experience working alongside Dr. Pittas, she has specialized in various areas, including cosmetic, eye, robotic, and gynecological surgeries.

Shannon believes in the power of gratitude and the impact a smile can have on someone’s day. She takes great joy in uplifting others and creating a positive environment for both her colleagues and patients.

A passionate traveler, Shannon has explored many corners of the world and completed her first mission trip to Africa in 2024, fulfilling a lifelong dream. She has been happily married for 20 years and is the proud mother of three beautiful children, as well as a grandmother to seven wonderful grandchildren. She also shares her home with a playful Pomeranian named Phebie.

Shannon feels truly blessed for the life she leads and strives to be a source of positivity and care for everyone she meets.

Meet Lindsay Marchand, a dedicated Nurse Practitioner with nearly 10 years of experience in the healthcare field. Based in Michigan, Lindsay began her career as an emergency room nurse, where she gained valuable expertise and certifications in both adult and pediatric trauma. She then transitioned to the intensive care unit, providing compassionate care to critically ill patients.

Lindsay has since discovered her true passion in aesthetics, where she focuses on delivering natural results through facial balancing and symmetry. With three years of experience in aesthetics and plastic surgery, she is committed to helping patients feel their best.

Outside of her professional life, Lindsay enjoys hitting the gym and cherishing quality time with her husband and two little ones. She also has a sweet tooth for M&Ms and a love for coffee, making her a delightful presence both in and out of the clinic!
